Our main source of funding is through direct appeals to the public. Some of the funding is achieved through sponsored charity activities like marathon and walks. Funds are also generated through corporate support and merchandising.

At various conferences, funds are also raised through our food stalls and sale of souvenirs and memorabilia.

The organizational structure of Humanity First has been set up in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Non-Profit Charitable Organizations.

A management board appointed by the Board of Directors deals with the day to day workings of the charity. This involves fundraising, evaluation of potential relief projects and their implementation and general administration.

Humanity First and its projects are administered by it's own members - all of whom are volunteers. Fund raising and aid work is undertaken by unpaid volunteers who donate their time and money to ensure that the maximum amount of funds raised are used for direct aid work.

Donations and contributions from individuals and organizations provide valuable and much needed resources for our new and ongoing initiatives both in the Canada and abroad.

Humanity First is registered in 34 countries across 6 continents and active in 46 countries, and has been working on human development projects and responding to disasters since 1992. These have included major disasters in Turkey, India, Burma, Indonesia, USA, Pakistan, Peru , Palestine and Haiti. Our long-term projects are focussed on Africa, Latin America and South Asia.
