Orphan Care
One of the great aims of HUMANITY FIRST is to help orphans and the poor to stand on their own feet and to become valued members of society. There is an estimated 132 million orphans around the world according to The State of the World's Children reported by UNICEF. Orphan children living in deprived socio-economic conditions benefit from this program which is devoted to assist children who have lost their natural parents and lack support from other family members. We strive to build awareness of the despair faced by these children and work towards addressing their physical, social and emotional needs.
Orphan children, below 18 years of age, are placed under the supervision of qualified foster parents. This project enables a designated couple to support 4-6 orphan children until 21 years of age or till completion of undergraduate studies - whichever may be later. The aim of this program is to provide young orphans with the skills necessary to succeed and help others.
Orphans in Africa and South America are being supported by HUMANITY FIRST with funds for their education and daily sustenance. A donation of $35 provides for an orphan's basic sustenance, which includes healthcare, primary education, and a balanced family and social environment. A small foster family unit ensures personal attention and supervision of each child.
